Prices on Cowboys Tickets Struggle – 2011-12 Cowboys NFL Season Review

During the first 17 games of the 2011 regular season, the Dallas Cowboys have been consistently inconsistent. This trend had continued on both the sale of Cowboys tickets and the actual teams play. They managed a few amazing wins but couldn’t keep it together and lost 9 out of the first 17 games. They started the season with a loss against the New York Jets, but everyone thought that was just a fluke. The narrow manner by which the Jets managed to win that game didn’t reveal much about how the Cowboys will do over the season. As fate would have it, their luck turned during the next couple of games.

On September 18, the Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers match up showed a dramatic 27-24 win in overtime for the Cowboys. Even though the win was as narrow as they come, at least it showed that the Cowboys still have what it takes to win games. The pattern continued over the next 2 games. The second victory came against Washington and it was just as narrow as the first. The 18-16 score says everything about 2 sides that struggle to regain form. But with back to back wins, the Cowboys appeared to regain their winning mentality and it sure looked like they could get their season back on track. Prices for Cowboy tickets continued to increase as this was happening.

Unfortunately, it was just a case of false hope, as the following game against Detroit was lost. After the first 4 games of the season, Dallas still looked like a team that was as unpredictable as any in the NFL. 2 narrow wins and 2 narrow losses showed that things are going in the right direction but there is still a lot of room for improvement. Then came the game against the New England Patriots, and even though the score was just as tight as in the first 4 games, the Cowboys never even looked like they would be able to win. The Patriots dominated and showed why they are among the best teams in the NFL. The Cowboys would defiantly need your support at their next game after this crushing loss to the Patriots. Buy your Cowboys tickets now to cheer them to their next victory!

With the Patriots game behind them, the Cowboys managed a spectacular win against the St. Louis Rams. The score was 34-7 and, even though St. Louis had a dreadful season and is among the worst teams in the NFL, the win was well deserved. However, nobody could predict what was going to happen next. In the first game against one of their most bitter rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cowboys contrived to have their worst game of the season. They lost 34-7 and everything in their game was absolutely dreadful. If they continued to play like they against the Eagles, Cowboys tickets wouldn’t be worth the money they were printed on!

November proved to be a much better month for the Cowboys, as the managed 4 wins out of 4 games. With Tony Romo, Tyron Smith, Sean Lee, Dan Bailey and especially DeMarco Murray in high form, the Cowboys seemed almost unbeatable. But another loss had to come soon, and it did come in the first game of December, against Arizona. Murray suffered a serious injury during the next game against the New York Giants, and the Cowboys lost 3 of the last 4 games without him.

During a season of ups and downs, there is nothing the Cowboys could have done better. If they want to do better in the future, the offensive line needs to be strengthened, they need to stop losing fourth-quarter leads and they need Murray to recover from his broken ankle as fast as possible. Overall, it was a pretty average season for the Cowboys. Fans can only hope that they make some decent offseason moves and the players come back at 100%. With the lockout far from their minds, I do not see why they wouldn’t be coming back at 100%. Be sure your ready for the 2012-13 NFL season by buying your Cowboys tickets now.
